Define attachment.
A close, emotional bond between two people (carer and infant), characterized by mutual affection and a desire to maintain proximity.

Desire to be physically close to the carer, anxiety when they cant be.

Eager to explore environment when carer is near. Infant will regularly check that carer is still in sight and will demonstrate social referencing to see if it’s safe to continue.
