Introduction Flashcards
Encore encourages positive CRM to help ensure crews?
- Communicate Effectively
- Maintain situational awareness
- Manage workload
- make decisions that avoid or mitigate threats and errors
AOM 1.7.1
Steps to follow when dealing with a non-normal situation:
-Maintain aircraft control
- analyze the problem
- take appropriate action
- maintain situational awareness
AOM 1.8.1
In-flight engine failure considerations:
Captain will land at nearest suitable airport. Restarting the engine does not relieve the requirement to land a nearest suitable airport.
AOM 1.8.3
A checklist must be repeated in its entirety prior to take-off when?
- any flight control is repositioned (or not in proper position) following the completion of a checklist.
-There is a lengthy delay prior to takeoff - anytime there is an interruption for routine communications
AOM 1.9.3
When does a compass check need to be completed? how? What is the tolerance?
completed 1 time per day. Check in logbook
-during smooth cruise conditions
-no turns for the last 3 mins
Tolerance: within 10 degrees. If it is outside 10 degrees enter a defect in the logbook and notify maintenance
AOM 1.12.2
What are the circuit breakers for disabling the CVR and FDR?
CVR- Left Ess D9
FDR- Right Ess E10
AOM 1.13
When is the only time a CB can be reset in flight?
When it is required for the safety of the flight. (most situations it is not)
Only 1 reset is allowed
AOM 1.14.2
A CB may be reset on the ground?
-After maintenance has determined the cause and it is safe to do so
-CB may be cycled as part of a trouble shooting procedure, unless doing so is prohibited for the current conditions.
AOM 1.14.3
Bombardier states the following conditions must be met prior to resetting a circuit breaker on the ground:
a. no recent history or reported defects with system or related system and no evidence of related anomalies.
b. should CB’s trip again, the cause must be rectified before resetting again
AOM 1.14.3
Resetting of fuel system CB’s
- Fuel boost pump air/ground
- fuel quantity
a)resetting of fuel boost pump CB is prohibited in flight
b)resetting of fuel boost pump CB on the ground is prohibited without first identifying the fault
c)because of similar arcing potential resetting (FQ) fuel quantity indicating system is not recommended.
