Describe the basic stages from stem cells to RBCs
Stem cells
Determination - what type of cell is being produced
Expansion - proliferation
Maturation - becoming functional
What is the function of erhythrocytes, leukocytes and plasma?
RBC = transports O2 from lungs to peripheral tissue WBC = defensive role, destroy infecting organisms and remove dead/damged tissues Plasma = carry food and waste products in circulatin
Which WBCs are granulocytes?
Neutrophils (PMN)
Basophils
Eosinophils
