Predator
An animal which eats other animals for food
Prey
An animal which is eaten by a predator
Parasitism
One species (parasite) benefits from the other species (the host) which is harmed.
Commensalism
One organism benefits and the other is unaffected.
Mutalism
Both species benefit, sometimes depends on each other to survive.
Symbiosis
A relationship in which two different organisms live close association with each other.
Energy Pyramid
A graphical model of energy flow in a community.
10% rule
A rule that is used to show how much energy the organism keeps in its body and how much goes to the other organism that eats it. Ninety percent is kept in the prey’s body and ten percent is transferred to the predator
