Q

Explain the steps in the Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace (IPB)

A

1) Define the operational area of operation, influence, and interest
2) Describe the effects on operations
3) Evaluate the threat (Enemy doctrine,caps/lims, composition and disposition)

Q

Explain how Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) are used to facilitate decision-making

A

-Umbrella’d under CCIRs, beside Fr. Forces Info. Req (FFIR)
-They are questions about adversary we need to collect upon / may need to request support to do so
-Concise (ask one question), -Focused (specific fact, events, activities), -Clear (what intel is required), -Specific (contain geographical area and time), -Critical (tied to a decison)
It is what we NEED to know
