Inspection Flashcards
Talk me through the inspection you undertook at Garston
I undertook an inspection pre-exchange to assess the condition of the property to see if it was as advertised and do understand if any further reports and surveys were required for Lidl to assist with the future demolition and new store construction
Before inspecting the site, I…
- I contacted the occupier asking when was a suitable time to inspect the property
- I also asked for a copy of the asbestos registerto allow me to be aware of the asbestos present at the property prior to inspection
-I then updated my calendar with location, time who I am meeting, contact details, my contact detials and emergency contact details
Pre-inspection I
- Carried out a risk assessment
- Spoke to the occupier and checked PPE requirements
- Checked relevant plans
-Also recieved a short H&S briefing by the site supervisor (short, formal meetings usually delivered by the site supervisor that detail the health and safety hazards and risks that workers will face)
Following a site walk round, it was clear that as we plan to demolish the building. A demolition asbestos survey would be required. Not only this but a ground report, existing utility services would be required.
