Q

Why did things change from Command and Control to Mission Command?

A

Command and Control is LSGCO oriented and Mission Command is COIN or Asymmetrical Warfare oriented.

CMD & Control good when there are lots of moving parts & partner forces. If Soldiers are “discipline initiative-ing” around all the time they will get into someone else’s battle space.
