What is Command and Control?
An established Command and Control set of systems that assist in tracking information the CDR needs to complete his task like commanding forces, driving and controlling the Ops Process, and building of Command and Control systems.
Focal point of CMD and control?
It is the commander. CDR assesses situations, make decisions, and direct actions.
How many leaves should we be training up?
Two
What kind of processes would be included in CMD and control?
MASCAL SOP, or tactical SOP (TACSOP), and battle drills.
What is a command post?
Actual CMD clubhouse. Charts on the wall, maps showing troops & trucks.
What kind of networks run in CMD and control?
CPCE or the old Command post of the future (CPOF). Or a JCR or BFT.
What are a CDRs responsibilities?
Leading, planning, developing, or changing mission.
What is the CDR always doing during the operations process?
Assessing the planning, preparing, and execution of a mission.
What should a CDR always be able to describe about the operations process?
A visualization, description, and direction of the mission.
Command and control has 4 systems. What are they?
People - soldiers and Staff
Processes - MASCAL SOP, or tactical SOP (TACSOP), and battle drills
Networks - JCR, CPOF, internet
