  • noise (irreverent stimuli) level in gymnasium or sporting field
  • gravity
  • weather conditions
  • natural light
  • terrain
  • quality of practice facilities (backyard structure)

Social/Cultural Environment

  • cultural norms (Australia= cricket)
  • family support networks
  • peer groups (friends, team-mates)
  • societal expectations (Vic-AFL, NRL-NSW,QLD)
  • Culture of a sport club and access to high quality coaching
