What is “in transit” and what does it vary due to?
The time it takes a company to reach their assignment after receiving an order.
It varies due to:
the distance they have to travel.
Size of the incident perimeter.
Amount of equipment the company has to assemble.
What must a company do after reaching their assignment area?
Provide radio announcement to the IC or report face to face with their sector officer.
What is “on deck?”
A forward staging position located just outside the hazard zone, but safely distances away from the entrance of a tactical position or Sector.
Remain on deck until assigned by IC or sector officer.
What is “recycling?”
Timely and efficient means of air replacement and rehydration of companies while maintaining their sector assignment.
