harvesting a patients antigen presenting cells and adds in PAP prostate specific antigen and CSF - activates the antigen
takes the patients antigen presenting cells and incorporate them with PAP and CSF which will stimulate theses Antigen presenting cells to present these antigens that will help T cells kill the cancer cells once injected back into the patient
goal is to stimulate a patients own immune system to attack the cancer cells
CAR T-cell Therapy
Programing a patients T cells
taking patients T cells and putting in a receptor to bind to cancer cells and by doing this it activates the T cells so once injected back into the patient it is already active and ready to bind to the cancer and kill the cancer cells
When T cells are being cultured outside of the patients body the receptor added onto these T cells are already activated and do not need stimulation like usual T cells they are already ready to kill
