Immunotherapy - bispecific antibodies Flashcards
Bispecific T-cell engager
an antibody that been designed to bring a T cell to a cancer
antigen is needed to bind to
made by taking part of an antibody that binds to a B cell and a part of an antibody that binds to a T cell so that they are forced together
Commonly used in immune based cancers
Blinatumomab
This brings T cells to cancer cells
Binds to CD3 on a T cell and brings it to the B cell lymphoma and binds to CD19 present on this B cell and lyse the cell
For lymphoblastic leukemia
Mosunetuzumab
Also an example of Bringing T cells to the cancer cell
Binds to CD3 on T cell and recruits it and also Binds to CD20 on non-hodgkin lymphomas
Side effects include cytokine release syndrome
Teclistamab
Brings a T cell to a cancer b cell
Binds to CD3 on cancer cells and binds to BCMA on B cells
BCMA is common in multiple myeloma cells
Taquetamab
THis also brings T cells to a cancer cell
Binds to CD3 on T cells and binds to GPRC5D thats also on multiple myeloma cells
