What are contraindication to vaccines
Avoid always in severe febrile illness
Avoid live vaccines in immunocompromised
Avoid MMR and varicella for at least 3 months after transfusion or immunoglobulins
No MMR or varicella (live vaccine) with pregnancy
Any allergy to past vaccine or component is contraindication
What should documentation of a vaccine include ?
date, manufacturer, lot number, who and where administered, VIS date, consent

can cause epiglottis, bacterial meningitis, pneumonia, septic arthritis and pneumonia
contraindicated in : sickle cell disease, HIV/AIDS, removal of the spleen, bone marrow transplant, cancer treatment with drugs
