what are some contraindications to vaccines?
confirmed anaphylaxis
live vaccines may be unsuitable to people who are immunosuppressed or pregnant
egg allergy- yellow fever & fu vaccine
severe latex allergy
acute or evolving illness
describe diptheria
URTI characterized by sore throat, low grade fever
White adherent membrane on the tonsils, pharynx, and/or nasal cavity - look for white throat
Caused by aerobic gram-positive bacterium Corynebacterium diphtheriae
