ILM 190303 G (B) Flashcards
What are the advantages of a Hydrostatic Drive unit?
Power is applied to both tracks whilst turning.
Infinitely Variable track speed.
Ground speed is adjustable for working conditions.
What are the two operating facts of a Variable Displacement Closed Loop Pump?
Swashplate can go over centre.
Swashplate can go to Zero Angle
What are the two operating facts of a variable displacement bi directional hydraulic motor?
Swashplace never goes over centre
Swashplate never goes zero angle.
When is Maximum speed and Maximum torque achieved in a Pump?
Max speed is at Max Angle
Max Torque is at Minimum angle
When is Maximum speed and torque achieved in a motor?
Max speed- Min. Angle
Max Torque- Max Angle
What is a transmission charge pump?
A pump driven at engine speed off the transmission to provide oil to all the components.
What is a Neutral Charge Relief Valve?
When the pump is in neutral, this valve dumps pressure to the case to cool and lubricate.
What is a Repleneshing Valve?
When the pump is in neutral, the charge pressure comes in the low pressure side to feed the pump.
What is a Flushing Valve?
During normal pump operation, the low pressure side is opened to the reservoir, to allow recycling of the hot oil within the closed loop.
What is a Pressure control Pilot Valve?
The first of two valves that control Pump output and direction of flow. ECU’s control spool movement.
What is a Pump Displacement Control Valve?
The second of two valves that control Pump output and direction of flow, this spool gets moved by the Pressure Control Pilot Valve to allow oil to act upon the servos and move the pump swashplate.
What is a Motor Pressure Control Pilot Valve?
The first of two valves that control Motor output. ECU’s control spool movement.
What is a Motor Displacement Control Valve?
The second of two valves that controls motor output. This spool is controlled by the Motor Pressure Control Pilot Valve, and allows oil to pivot the motors swashplate.
What is the temperature setting for the bypass on a transmission oil cooler?
Closes to force oil through the cooler at 145 Fahrenheit.
