Syllabus Standards for Flight
- ±100 feet of desired altitude
- ±10 KIAS of desired airspeed
- ±10 degrees of desired heading
- Maintain coordinated fight, no more than ½ ball off center
- Maintain smooth and positive control consistent with flight conditions
Faster KIAS requires more ________________ trim
“nose-down” (thumb forward)
Slower KIAS requires more ___________ trim

Climb Checklist
THROTTLE…..FULL
FLAPS….CRUISE
AIRSPEED……70KIAS
ENGINE GAUGES….CHECK
NOTE: After go-around or touch n go, lean mixture for climb after safely airborne
NOTE: Accomplish CL 400’ below TPA
NOTE: Departing a/c may exit Traffic Page after this CL
RPM setting for 85 KIAS
2100 RPM, 2 fingers to the horizon
RPM setting for 100 KIAS
2400 RPM and 4 fingers to the horizon
RPM setting for 90 KIAS
2300 RPM, 3 fingers to the horizon
RPM setting for Slow Flight Flaps Cruise @ 50 KIAS
1800 RPM
Before Landing Checklist
FUEL PUMP….ON
MIXTURE….FULL RICH
AIRSPEED & FLAP SETTING….CONFIRM
Go Around Checklist
THROTTLE…..FULL
FLAPS…..T/O
AIRSPEED…66 KIAS
NOTE: Apply full throttle and adjust pitch attitude to arrest the descent prior to retracting the flaps from LDG to T/O

- CANOPY…UNLOCK, OPEN
- EVACUATE AIRPLANE IMMEDIATELY

- FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE…OFF
- CABIN HEAT…OFF
- MIXTURE…IDLE CUTOFF.
- IGNITION SWITCH…OFF.
- GEN/BAT MASTER SWITCH…OFF.
- EMERGENCY GROUND EGRESS.
