What do Transition Routes do?
A
Provide guidance from en route airspace into the Terminal Airspace

Employs a FACF - final approach course fix (which is always on the extended centreline of the runway)

If Approach Clearance is NOT received prior to FACF:
A
• Fly the waypoints in the STAR and Instrument Approach.
• Do not descend until Approach Clearance is received.
• Fly the Approach waypoints to the end if necessary.
