What: The middle passage was a way of transportation of slaves to the new world.

Why: Because of this event, there was alot less indentured servants that were needed and more plants could be harvested, making their economy flourish.

A

When: 18th Century

What: This basically stated that the white men were superior over the slaves.

Why: This was important because this is the way that they are trying to show their dominance over the slaves. This is what eventually led up to the civil war.

What: This was an uprising from the slaves that occurred in south Carolina where they tried to overthrow the whites.

Why: This was significant because this was a reaction from the blacks of the slave codes

What: This was the time where the English were having their own civil war thus they did not pay much attention to the Americans.

Why: Because of this, the Americans became bitter when the English took control once again. They felt as if they were being grounded.

What: This was a time where people would believe that certain women were witches and would have trials for them.

Why: It was because of this that it shows how much religion did have on the mind of the people

What: This was a form of religious revival started mostly by young men and women who felt as if they had nothing to do. For women this gave them some form of sense of importance.

Why: This does show that one can break away from their roots just like america did when they went against the british

A

When: Early 17th century

What: This was a time where some of the best scientific believing men blossomed. This time area was a time focused on scientific discovery

Why: Because of this men like Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin got their ideas from. Without them, then we wouldn’t have had the founding fathers that we have today.

Zenger Trials

A

When: 1734-1735

What: This was the trial of John Zenger. He was believed to have said some things in the newspaper that you can say was slandering someone. They were found innocent because technically what he said was true.

Why: This was important because this was showing that America could have one thing that they did not have in England, freedom of speech

When: 1754

What: This was a plan that was set up in Albany that wanted to try and create a stable government. This plan failed.

Why: This was trying to prevent the 7 years war and nigga it failed so badly.

A

When: 1750-1760

What: This is also known as the 7 years war in Europe. This was a war between 3 of the powers. The British, the french, and the Indians.

Why: This ended up giving the british more power over the new world considering that they won.

Proclamation of 1763

A

When: 1763

What: This was a proclamation that said that the Americans can not settle and go past the appellation mountains. Nigga no one listened. Everyone went over the mountains.

Why: Because of this, there was a lot more tension between the British Americans and the Indians.
