This was a war between Americans and Mexicans in the year 1846. The cause of the war was because of a dispute between the territories of California and new Mexico. The war ended in 1854 eitht he treaty of Guadalupe hidalgo which gave the Americans both new Mexico and California. This was a war that was disputed over territory and that established the US as an ideed world superpower.
