azithromycin 5-7 day course

Group B strep, listeria, E. coli(top 3)
enterococus, staff aureus, hsv, cmv, Vzv, RSV, candida
Neonatal sepsis id management
48-72 hours of broad spectrum
Amp plus either gent or cefotaxime
Common pathogens in a fever with neutropenia
Gram positive- staph, strep viridians, staph a(including MRSA)
Gram negative- E. coli, klebsiella, pseudomonas, enterobacter, acinetobacter
Fever and neutropenia low risk ID management
Fluroquinolone monotherapy or fluroquinolone and amoxicillin clavulanate
Fever and neutropenia high risk ID management
Stable- antipseudomonal betalactam, fourth gen cephalosporin, or carbapenem
Unstable- add gram negative coverage or a glycopeptide
Neonatal meningitis management
Amp, acyclovir and gent or cef
Infant meningitis management
Vanco acyclovir and ceftriaxone
Kid meningitis management
Ceftriaxone and vanco

21 day course of Bactria (trithoprim-sulfamethoxazole)

Doxy 10 days, amox 14 days, cefuroxime 14 days
