What does the ISO function do?
splits the 1 and 2 systems to isolate the side with a leak
What flap setting must you use when holding in icing?
flap up (0deg)
What is the total inflation time of the wing anf tail boots?
6 sets x 6sec each = 36sec.
What is the cycle time of the SLOW airframe setting?
4mins
What is total cycle time of the FAST airframe setting?
1min
How long will the boot inflate for in manual mode
Still secs to inflate, but will stay inflated until switch is moved.
How would you know if a boot was not inflating?
No green indicator light (pressure switch at 15psi)
What should you do if a boot doesnt inflate?
consult QRH - check advisory lights and either continue if bulb is blown or if bulb functions, exit icing conditions. Max flap for LDG 15deg.
how many prop timers are there?

What is the power source for the prop heat?
115VAC
What are the durations for above -10deg and below -10deg settings? (prop heat)
above -10: on duration 10secs, rest 1min (70sec cycle)
below -10: on duration 20sec, rest 1 min (80sec cycle)
How would you know a prop heater was inop? QRH?
Light not on.
test the light (advisories) + swap timers, then C/L max + exit icing conditions or continue.
What are the power sources for the pitot heats?
L ess(1), R Main(2)
what are the power sources for the static heat?
L/R main respectively
If the pitot heat switches are left on after shutdown with GPU connected will the heaters still be on? what about on battery power only?
yes, also yes.
Will the static ports be heated if the main battery switch and batt master is on?
R YES, L no (unless tied)
If pitot switch is OFF will the caution light be on?
Yes
how would you know if a static heat has failed?
check on the walkaround

the primary heat element in the elevator horn has failed - exit icing
also on during icing test
How can you change the elevator horn heat to the second element?
manually in the tail hatch on the ground only

Front window(s) over 42degrees, auto off. Cycle to warm and back to norm to reactivate.
What is valve heat for?
to prevent icing of the distributor valves and venting valves (auto on when deice on + below 10deg)
what powers the valve heat?
L/R SEC buses
How are the AOA vanes heated? when will they have power?
115VAC, when props unfx
if an AOA vane is unheated what caution will illuminate>
STALL SYST FAIL + PUSHR SYST FAIL
what wont work if one AOA vane fails?
One shaker, Stick pusher, F/Slow indicator.
What should you do if you encounter severe icing in flight?
QRH -(AP off, C/L max, P/L as req to maintain minimum 160kts, exit severe icing)
