SIADH hyperglycemia heart failure wound drainage V/D kidney disease

Treatment for Hyponatermia
A
IV–>isotonic saline
osmotic diuretics to excrete water rather than NA+
(mannitol, furosmide,bumetanide, torasemide)

Nursing alert for hyponatremia
A
- can cause lithium toxicity b/c it’s a salt base med, the body will absorb more when hyponatremia is present
