- hyperpyrexic ( high fever)
- dry mouth/ sticky membrane
- thirst
- spontaneous twitching/irregular contractions

A
- Cushing syndrome
- DI
- increase metabolism
- hyperventilation infection

Treatment for hypernatremia
A
- IV–>diuretics to promote Na+ loss
- 0.5 % NS
- 2.5%dextrose in 0.45%NS
