Activated carbon can be used, but there is insufficient data on its effectiveness. It is necessary to monitor the state of breathing and circulation using ECG monitoring, ensure adequate oxygenation, administer naloxone, dextrose (glucose) and thiamine; if it is necessary to obtain a vasopressor effect, norepinephrine or metaraminol is prescribed; epinephrine should not be used. Cardiac activity and blood pressure should be monitored for 24 hours after symptoms disappear.
