Intelligence test
A method for adsessing on individuals mental aptitdes and comparing them with those of others, using numerical scores
Inteligence
Mentak quantity consisting of the ability to learn from experiece; solve problems and use knowledge to addapt to new situations
General inteligence (g)
A general intelligence factor that according to spearman and others underlies specific mental abilities and is therefore measured by every task on an intelligence test
Thurstone
Didn’t like Spearman. Came up with word influence, verbal comprension, spatial ability, perceptual speed, humerucal ability, inductive reasoning, and memory
Savant syndrome
A condition in which a person otherwise limited in mental ability had an exceptional specific skill, such as in computaion or drawing
