Central Asia: not rich, but are starting to exploit oil + gold
Middle East (West Asia) : has big share of world’s oil and gas reserves, made countries like Qatar very wealthy
South Asia: poorest, exports textiles, foodstuffs, India has most of industry, runs call centres and IT
Southeast Asia: depend mainly on agriculture, export rice etc and rubber, industries developing
East Asia: main industrial region. Products made in China, Japan, South Korea or Taiwan
North Asia: wealthy- sells oil gas to other countries via pipeline
