What is SCARS?
State Crimes Automated Reporting System.
Used to track crimes and criminally caused damage occurring on state property.
How long do you have to submit a STD 99?
Within 10 days of the incident.
If received by another state agency you must enter it within 10 days of receiving it.
How long are STD 99s retained at the Area or Division level?
Two years from date of the incident
What Beat series is used for SSP assignments?
The 700 Series beat codes and overtime duty codes have been designated for use by California Highway Patrol (CHP) personnel assigned to Safety Services Program (SSP) duties.
How often shall all employees review the area’s Emergency Action Plan (EAP)?
Annually and documented on the CHP 712.
