All other 1-3/4” attack hoselines length per Company Captain

Wildland Hose - 200ft of 1” hose

Apartment Pack - 100ft of 1-3/4” hose

5” Hose

A
  • Never place a right hand twist
  • Hose clamp applied on Supply Side of coupling 25ft back from tailboard (do not position yourself on hinge side of clamp)
  • Flow of 1200 GPM has 10 PSI friction loss per 100ft (2 sections) of hose
  • 1600 GPM practical volume limit of 5” hose
  • Pumping 5” hose requires two-stage pumps to be in Volume
  • Minimum 10 PSI residual pressure; Never exceed 200 PSI PDP

A

Loaded in hosebed w/male coupling out/on top used for :

FDC - supply sprinkler or standpipe systems
Master Stream - supply ground monitor or mini-monitor
Handline - High volume handline for large fires; may be used with gated wye
Supply - transfer water between apparatus on scene

  • Break away feature allowing 1-3/4” hose to be extended from play pipe

*Rotating bumper fully clockwise will shut off nozzle even w/bale open
