Coordinates the body’s response to change in the environment
Where are hormones released?
Hormones are released by glands and into the bloodstream where they travel to the target organs

Testosterone
What does testosterone do?
Control puberty and sperm production
Where is the pituitary gland found?
In the brain connected to the hypothalamus (part of the brain that receives signals from receptors)

When it detects a change in the environment

Trigger other glands to release more hormones

Adrenaline

Trigger ‘fight or flight” response when an organism is presented with a dangerous situation
