A disease that cannot be spread between organisms- Coronary Heart disease

How do we know that a plant is diseased?
Stunted growth Spots on the leaves Areas of decay Pests Discoloured malformed leaves
How does the human body protect us from diseases?
Skin Enzymes in our eyes Hair and mucus in our nose Mucus around our breathing organs Stomach Acid
How can we contain diseases?
Catch it, Bin it, Kill it

Wash your hands frequently
What are monoclonal antibodies?
They are identical antibodies which are made to bind with a specific cell
What can Monoclonal Antibodies be used for?
Treating cancer
Pregnancy tests
Locating and identifying specific molecules in a cell
Testing levels of chemicals and hormones
What are the steps to making monoclonal antibodies?
Step 1: Inject an animal with an antigen
Step 2: Extract the b-lymphocyte
Step 3: Fuse lymphocyte with a fast-growing tumour (Cancer cell) to create a hybridoma
Step 4: The hybridoma will divide rapidly making lots of antigens
