What is the standard deviation of 48-45-35-51-37-63-51-70
19.1
How do you find the standard deviation of a set.
Square the difference of every data point and the average. Add all of the squares together. Then divide by the number of data points and take the square root.
Why is Standard Deviation useful in analyzing data?
Standard deviations help determine if data is precise. Precise data will be more useful than data rampant with outliers.
Which is less accurate and riskier, extrapolation or interpolation? Why?
Extrapolation, you are required to predict a data point using an endpoint and must predict another endpoint. Interpolation already has set endpoints, minimizing variation.
