Holiday pay applies to all except:
Government employees, retail and service establishment regularly employing less than 10 workers, kasam-bahay, managerial employees (with reservations), officers/members of managerial staff, etc.

What is Premium Pay?
If the holiday falls on the scheduled rest day of the employee, work performed on the said day merits at least on additional 30% of the employee’s regular holiday rate of 200%
Are employees who are on leave of absence without pay on the day immediately preceding a regular holiday may not be paid the required holiday pay?
No, they may not be paid if they do not work on such regular holiday.
Successive Regular Holidays Rule
If there are 2 successive regular holidays, an employee may not be paid for both holidays if he/she absents himself/herself from work on the day immediately preceding the first holiday
What happens if the employee works on one holiday from the successive holiday, but filed an absence on the following day?
He/she will be entitled to his/her holiday pay on the second holiday
What happens if there will be temporary/periodic shutdown/cessation of work and it falls on a regular holiday?
The regular holidays falling within the period shall be compensated in accordance with the Rules implementing the labor code, as amended.
Can seasonal workers be paid during off season when they are not at work?
