Q

Problems with the strategies

A
  • groynes cause narrow beaches as stop material furth down coast
Material produced from erosion normally goes south but with defences the erosion doesn’t happen so they don’t get materials and this increased floods south as nothing to stop them
Spurn Head at risk of being eroded away because less material is being added
Protected areas are becoming headlands which makes maintaining defences expensive
