Pathology of Hodgkin lymphoma?
Proliferation of B lymphocytes with reed-sternberg cells on histology
Typical presentation
” 25 y/o presents with progressively enlarging, non painful lymph nodes in his right cervical chain. He feels fine and exam is normal. “
Symptoms?
Enlarged lymph nodes
Splenomegaly
Fatigue

Rubbery
Non-tender

Histology
- Lymph biopsy
What is shown on FBC?
Anaemia
Thrombocytopenia
What is shown on histology?
Reed-sternberg cells
Only way to differentiate between HL and NHL
Staging method?
Cottswold Modification of Ann Arbor Staging
What is Ann Arbor stage 1?
Confined to 1 lymphy boi
What is ann arbor stage 2?
Involvement of 2 or > on same side of the diaphragm
What is ann arbor stage 3?
Involvement of lymph node regions on both sides of the diaphragm
What is ann arbor stage 4?
Involvement of extranodal sites
Treatment?
Chemotherapy
Radiotherapy
Chemotherapy regimen?
