what is the function of the kidney?
Filter blood, through this process the kidneys keep fluid levels balanced and ensure vital levels of nutrients stay in the bloodstream, any wastes or excess fluid is removed from the blood and drained as urine.

The urethra is the tube that connect from the badder and leads the urine out when extracting the waste from the body.
How does the bladder stop urine from leaking out?
The external sphincter muscles surround the internal sphincter and provide extra pressure to keep the urethra closed. You can consciously squeeze the external sphincter and the pelvic floor muscles to keep urine from leaking out.
