Hugging, kissing, or shaking hands with someone who is HIV-positive.
Sharing eating utensils or exercise equipment with an HIV-positive person.
How is HIV transmitted?
HIV is transmitted through contact with an HIV-positive person’s infected body fluids such as blood, breastmilk and sexual fluids.
HIV can also be transmitted through needles contaminated with HIV-infected blood, including needles used for tattooing or body piercing.
What is the fact for this myth:
HIV or AIDS can be cured.
At the moment, there is no cure for HIV or AIDS and there are no vaccines to prevent HIV infection.
Condoms don’t prevent the spread of HIV. True or False
False: If people use condoms correctly, then they are almost 100% effective in preventing transmission of the HI Virus.

What is HIV?
HIV is a virus that destroys the white blood cells that help the body to fight off germs. When enough of these white blood cells are destroyed by the virus, the infected person begins to get various other diseases. This stage of the viral infection is called AIDS.
Antiretroviral drugs can cure HIV and AIDS. True or False
Antiretroviral drugs can control the virus for a while. But, the drugs are not a cure and eventually the virus destroys the body’s immune system and the infected person gets AIDS.
