what does the QBD, family and chancery division deal with
QBD- negligence

C- commercial law/ company law, insolvency (when company can’t pay debts), copyright
what type of cases does the county court deal with
hear all cases, all done at a level that is a bit lower, SO CLAIMS ARE LOWER (amount wise), parties expected to represent themselves, fast track and multi track heard by circuit judge
what are the two main reasons people appeal
error on the fact (so the disagreement with the outcome) of the judge or error on law
leap frog meaning
low level court to Supreme court, must be on issue of national importance or benefit of earlier consideration by the Supreme Court outweighs the benefit of consideration of CoA
Small claims track, what do they deal either, what are the claims etc
- lower value cases
- claims under £10,000 or personal injury under £1000
- don’t need lawyers, you can represent yourself
fasts track, wha are the claims, when is it heard (time wise), what type of judge
- above £10-£25,000
- straight forward cases
- normally heard within 6 months
- circuit judge here
- hearing would last no more than a day
