Where is the gallbladder located?
A
Right between the right medial lobe and quadrate lobe (of the liver)

When performing a cholecystectomy, where do we want to make the ligation?
A
Somewhere along the cystic duct, distal to the hepatic ducts
so bile can still travel from the liver to the duodenum

What is a choledochotomy and when is it indicated?
A
Incision into dilated common bile duct
indications: choledocholithiasis, biliary sludge

A
Biliary diversion!
