Hebrew Adjectives and Pronouns Flashcards
What are the two forms of adjectives in Hebrew?
Attributive and Predicate Adjectives
How can you tell if an adjective is attributive?
If the adjective comes after the noun it modifies, and it agrees with the definiteness of the noun which it modifies.
Example:
הָאִישׁ הַטּוֺב = the good man
or
אִישׁ טוֺב = a good man)
How can you tell if an adjective is a predicate adjective?
If the adjective comes before the noun it modifies, and it may or may not agree with the definiteness of the noun which it modifies.
