Myocardium because it has twisting bundles of cardiac muscle to provide contractions
What are the 2 loops in the cardiovascular system?
Pulmonary circuit
Systemic circuit
What is the pulmonary circuit?
Carries blood from the heart to the lungs and back, picks up O2 and releases CO2
What is the systemic circuit?
Carries blood from the heart to the body tissues and back, releases O2 and picks up CO2
What are the major blood vessels in the pulmonary circuit?
Pulmonary veins, and the pulmonary trunk
What are the major blood vessels in the systemic circuit?
Venae cavae and the aorta
