What is an HSP
Licensed psychologist who meets criteria of training and experience in the delivery of direct, preventative, assessment, and therapeutic intervention services to individuals whose growth, adjustment, or functioning is impaired or at risk for impairment
Psychologists orders
Can be issued by an HSP practicing psychology (meaning, licensed)
Can be followed by nurses (RN, LPN)
Criteria to be an HSP
Current license
Eligible to be listed with the National Register, or complete two years of supervised experience in health services (substantial portion in a inpatient setting)
Two letters of rec from HSPs
HSP denied staff privileges
When an HSP is denied staff privileges or removed from medical staff, such action should be reported by the faculty to the Board
