A

Exercise regularly, eat the right kinds and amounts of food, avoid things that abuse the body like smoking, drugs or alcohol. If not done then can possibly lead to poor health and disease or illness such as heart disease

A

Various body systems will work more efficiently, less likely to suffer from illness & disease, immune system becomes more efficient, control body weight, sleep well and experience good mental health and social well-being

What happens if you neglect your physical health?

A

Chronic disease e.g. CHS, diabetes (type 2), bowel cancer and osteoporosis (females), decreased cognitive ability e.g. dementia, loss of muscle atrophy e.g. muscles waste away and less efficient immune system.

What are the mental benefits of physical activity?

A

Releases endorphins and serotonin which are commonly known as the feel good factors which gives you a sense of enjoyment, it provides you with more energy which helps you to cope with the challenges you face during the day and helps you boost your confidence and your self-esteem.

A

Helps you meet new people with different social backgrounds, more likely to make new friends and can give you a sense of belonging as you are working to achieve a common goal.
