what is diabetes?
where the cells in the body are less sensitive or resistant to insulin so the body cannot control the concentration of glucose in the blood correctly

why does alcohol effect the brain?
affects the way nerve cells in the brain work and cells become damaged
how is cancer caused?
when mitosis goes wrong and cells begin to divide uncontrollably and unusual growth appear called tumors

what are characteristics of malignant tumors? (3)
can spread
invade neighbouring tissues
