what characteristics can present in migraine?
> At least one aura symptom spreads gradually over >5 min, and/or two or more symptoms occur in succession
> Each individual aura symptom lasts 5-60 min
> At least one aura symptom is unilateral
> Aura is accompanied or followed within 60 minutes by headache
Migraine without aura
what are the criteria?
> lasting 4-72 hours
> unilateral
pulsating
moderate/severe pain
aggravated by physical activity
> Nausea /vomiting
photophobia and phonophobia

women:stop pill
Medical:
> acute: oral triptan (serotonine receptor agnoist), NASID/Paracetamol
consider anti-emetic
> Prophylaxis:
1st line:topiramate or propranolol
