trochlear
occulomotor
18
Q

epidural haemorrhage

A

blood bw skull and dura mater

causes: blow to side of head, trauma
signs: unconscious then conscious then unconcious

paths-tearing of arteries in that space e.g. middle meningeal

19
Q

subdural haemorrhage:

A

blood bw dura and arachnoid

patho- tearing of bridging veins

causes: car accidents, moving then stopping. old ppl, alchoholics, shearing forces
signs: headache that gets worse, intellectual slowing, unsteadiness, drowsiness

20
Q

subarachnoid haemorrhage

A

blood in subarachnoid space

from tearing of arteries in there

thunderclap headache, being kicked int the back of head, stiffness in neck, vomiting

medical emergency

cerebral aneurysm

21
Q

meningitis

A

fever, headache, neck stiffeness

22
Q

CSF circulaion

A
  1. Made by choroid plexus in lateral ventricles
  2. Goes through interventricular foramina
  3. Into 3rd ventricle, where choroid plexus adds more CSF
  4. Thorugh cerebral aqueduct
  5. Into 4th ventricle, where choroid plexus adds more CSF
  6. Out through median and lateral apertures
  7. Into subarachnoid space
  8. Drains into dural venous sinuses through the arachnoid villi
23
Q

internal carotid artery

A

sympa and venous plexus wrap around it

• Branches are the anterior and middle cerebral arteries

24
Q

wat drains into cavernous sinus?

A

superior and inferior ophthalmic viens

superficial middle cerebral vein
