atmospheric, hydrological, and oceanographic natural processes or phenomena.
What are technological hazards?
man-made hazards caused by technological failures, machinery, industrial failures, infrastructure accidents, etc…
What is environmental degradation?
processes caused/induced by human activity in combination with natural hazards (climate change, pollution,…)
What are the types of hazards?
slow onset hazards and rapid/sudden onset hazards
What are slow onset hazards?
hazards that show early signs/indicators before its occurrence
what are rapid/sudden onset hazards?
hazards that occur without any prior signs or warnings
