What are the different perspectives of disasters?
Physical, psychological, economic, political, and biological
What is the physical perspective?
describes observable objects in a building/infrastructure which include durability of building, fire exit availability, and absence or presence of an important object that would help or harm you in any ways.
e.g. houses and environmental sources of living.
What is the psychological perspective?
Pertains to the mental capacity and heath of an individual to deal with disasters. Age, perception, and self capacity are some points of consideration.
What is the economic perspective?
It involves income, assets and liabilities, and economic class of an individual of a community in the society.
What is the political perspective?
it involves the structure of the government, issues in diplomacy, etc…
What is the biological perspective?
it involves the role of flora and fauna in the environment, diseases, health, etc.
