Q

What is the Coriolis Effect?

A

Air doesn’t flow in a straight line because the Earth is rotating. As the air moves above the surface of the Earth, underneath it the planet rotates so winds actually follow a curved path.

Q

Identify two ways in which heat at the equator can be redistributed around the world?

Q

What are jet streams?

A

These form mostly at the boundaries of the main circulation cells where there is significant temperature difference.
They can change the weather for different areas.
