are the things that happen around us, which may naturally occur in our environment as part of our daily lives. It also pertains to something that stimulates people to travel, spend resources, and gather together for a particular cause or purpose.
Events
These refer to spatial, chronological occurrences where each experience is unique because of the interactions among the setting, people, and systems, including the program and its design elements.
Planned Events
involves creating and developing small- to large-scale activities, which include conventions, concerts, trade shows, festivals, and ceremonies.
Events Management
are a part of the larger field of tourism. it is a sector of the tourism industry where the public assembles for celebration, education, marketing, and reunion.
Meetings, incentives, conventions, and expositions (MICE)
This is a general term that pertains to the gathering of people to discuss a set agenda or do a particular activity.
Meeting
It is a tool to encourage employees to increase sales or provide solutions.
Incentive
This refers to a large, national, or international meeting held to commemorate a milestone
for the host organization.
Convention
It refers to the regular gathering of people who belong to religious, cultural, or professional associations.
Congress
This is a scholarly gathering to exchange views and, consequently, to convey a message, open a debate, or give publicity to some opinions on specific issues such as climate change and tourism sustainability.
Conference
Also referred to as expositions, this showcases new products, services, information, or promotional materials mounted for public relations, sales, and/or marketing. Food and beverage expo, educational expo, and car shows are examples of exhibition.
Exhibition
This is a showcase of products that are offered to the public, mostly for direct sales
or promotion to end users.
Consumer Show
This refers to commerce on a bigger scale. It brings industry players together, targeting similar markets.
Trade Show
With high-volume output, the task can become specialized and systematized and can possibly permit capital expenditure to enable the task to become more efficient-for example, by the use of computers and registration systems at a large exposition.
Size and volume of output
This characteristic considers the variety of activities and tasks that the event manager can be called upon to pertorm during an event. In large events, different groups of staff are assigned to specific tasks.
Complexity and variety of services or products offered to the consumer
A low variation in demand enables routines to be established and for the required level of inputs to be predicted whether over a one-day event or throughout the year.
Uncertainty of numbers attending, cost, time schedule, and technical requirements.
