HAEMOPHILIA A = Deficiency of Factor VIII (8) Way to remember = ATE HAEMOPHILIA B = Deficiency of Factor IX (9) = Christmas disease Bloods: - Prolonged APTT (Check for Haemophilia B?) - Bleeding time, thrombin time, prothrombin time ALL NORMAL Can present with haemoarthroses, haematomas, prolonged bleeding after surgery or trauma
